Bush Barn Art Center
Join artist Bets Cole as she discusses her techniques and inspirations for making art. Her latest exhibition, a two-person show with painter April Waters, took place at the Bush Barn Art Center in October and November of 2016. Working in the plein air tradition (creating her work outdoors instead of in a studio), Cole’s art is captivatingly energetic, spontaneous and colorful. The quality of her work has earned her numerous opportunities, such as being selected for an artist residency at Crater Lake National Park for its 100th anniversary. As a full-time artist, Cole travels throughout the United States and Europe searching for new inspiration and is constantly creating new work. She received her MFA from the University of Oregon, and also holds a BS in Design and Environmental Analysis with a minor in Physics from Cornell University. This event is free and open to the public.
