Are you feeling the summer vibe?
Vibe of Portland is an arts education program with the mission of supplementing the lack of artistic programming in Portland public schools. They place an emphasis on mentorship, creativity, student empowerment, and equal access to the arts for all.
Vibe is offering a series of mixed-length summer arts camps this year. The classes are divided by date, age group, artistic interest and grade. Cost vary per program. Below is a snapshot of Vibe’s 2016 summer camp offerings:
Pint Size Picasso Camp Week #1 : Robots! Camps runs from June 6 at 9 a.m. - June 10 at 12 p.m. Held at Tabor Space, 5441 SE Belmont, Portland. Open to ages 3-6. Cost: $150.
East Winds Orchestra Camp. Runs from July 11 at 8 a.m. - July 15 at 4 p.m. Held at Reynolds High School, 1698 SW Cherry Park Rd, Troutdale. Open to string students grades 6-10. Cost: $175 - $200.
Photography Camp. Camp runs July 25 at 9 a.m. - July 29 at 3 p.m. Held at Vibe Art Studio, 5441 SE Belmont, Portland. Open to grades 4-7. Cost: $275.
