Reception: Friday, May 5 | 5:30-7:30 pm
Bush Barn Art Center | 600 Mission St. SE Salem
This exhibit will explore different approaches to contemporary, abstract art through the work of Julia Bradshaw (photography), Ellen George (sculpture) and Elizabeth Magee (painting). Julia treats photographs as malleable two-dimensional material, creating topographical landscapes and geometric shapes. Reflecting on a deep and abiding interest in the botanical world which began in childhood, Ellen uses polymer clay to make striking translucent sculptures. Elizabeth’s work exists between culture and nature, using painting to explore the world around her.
This exhibition is generously sponsored by CenturyLink.
A reception for this exhibition will take place on Friday, May 5 from 5:30-7:30 pm. The exhibition and the reception are both free and open to the public. Gallery hours are Tuesday-Friday from 10 am-5 pm, and Saturday-Sunday from Noon-5 pm.
