Goble Tavern - A Diamond in the Rough

Nestled halfway between Astoria and Portland on Hwy 30, at mile post 41, between Rainier and St. Helens, sits a little known gem. The Goble Tavern. To be honest, you probably won't look twice. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but once the doors open, it's a whole new world. Cold beer, hot food, musical memorabilia, odds and ends along with a cozy stage make up the rustic interior.

Head out the rear door to a relaxing retreat with a stage, picnic tables, separate smoking area and umbrellas to cover you rain or shine. Sit outside sipping your beer or other beverage, as you listen to the sounds of nature or some good old fashioned foot stomping music.

With live music on Friday’s and Saturday’s and free pool on Sunday’s, your weekend is pretty well set. Known for their famous visitors such as Willie Nelson, his mother used to bartend here, and Hank Williams, you could be in for the night of your life. Food specials start as low as $2.00

Great to know about, Connie...thanks for posting it and the outdoor space sounds really nice, too...especially when there's live music!
