The Northwest Youth Corps is seeking leaders for our three-week Chemawa Bridge program, running from 5/18 - 6/9, 2018.
We will be bringing three crews of nine students each from the Chemawa Indian School out for three weeks of camping, working, and learning around the Pacific Northwest. Students receive a stipend and school credit for their service. Projects include trail construction and maintenance, invasive species removal, and fence removal.
Students at the Chemawa School come to Oregon from Native communities throughout the west and Alaska. Program participants will go directly from the end of the school year into our program and will return home afterwards. We are looking for leaders to ensure these youth have a positive, growth-oriented three weeks.
A paid staff training will be available before the beginning of the program, and Crew Leaders will have the opportunity for further employment after the end of the program. Please see the attached position description for more details, and email henry@nwyouthcorps.org with any questions.
