Walk the garden and you’ll see an odd patch low on a tree. What is it? Look even closer and you’ll see teeth marks all in neat rows. What would chew on a tree? A beaver! We know about nature, and yet there is still so much to learn. Nature journaling takes us into the magical realm of our senses and their role in close observation. The forest, meadows and creek side of Leach Garden abound with leaves, flowers, birds, insects, and the signs of beaver and deer. You’ll make your own nature journal, then we’ll explore the Garden, drawing and describing what we see. All materials provided.
In the Manor House and on the Garden trails.
