Community Science Workshop: Learn to Use iNaturalist & eBird

Sat Jun 29 - 1:00pm-4:00pm

YOU DON’T NEED TO BE AN EXPERT TO CONTRIBUTE TO SCIENCE

With iNaturalist and eBird, you can connect with experts who can identify the organisms you observe; record your observations, so that scientists have access to and can use your data to understand when and where organisms occur; find a project with a mission that interests you; and build your knowledge by talking with other naturalists.

Jess Tyler, an expert on local pollinators, will show you how to download and use the iNaturalist App on your devices (Android or Apple). Then he and two other experts will help you find and record pollinators, birds and plants. You’ll be able to add to this world wide observation data base – from your own backyard or anywhere you go!
