I received my doctoral degree in University Studies from Portland State University in 2010, focusing on historic preservation and community development. I have a master's degree in Historic Preservation from Columbia University and co-produced the survey for the National Register application for Peacock Lane. I have the pleasure of raising two sons who attend Metropolitan Learning Center in Northwest Portland and one at Jefferson High School. I am working on a couple of book, one is about the homefront experience of children who lived in the Guild's Lake Courts war housing in Northwest Portland during World War II. On a rainy day you might find me at Lloyd Center Ice Rink or at an event offering a lively slide presentation but my favorite thing to do is ferret through materials in the City Archives.
